WELCOME
Whoever you are, if you seek the Lord's blessing, you are welcome here.
Sunday Worship begins at 9:30AM.
Central Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
is a community of people with varied gifts and ministries united
together in Christ. We strive to be an open and welcoming community,
one that can bear witness to the inviting and inclusive Gospel of Jesus
Christ in thought word and deed. Each Sunday we gather as a community
around the table to share the Lord's Supper. This communion fellowship
is our proclamation of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The
Mission of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ):
"To be and to
share the good news of Jesus Christ,
witnessing, loving and serving
from our doorsteps to the ends of the earth.”
More about The Disciples?
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) began as a movement reacting against the divisions and acrimony among the Christian Protestant denominations in early 19th century in America.
An early Disciples motto:
In essentials, unity;
in non-essentials, liberty
in all things, charity.
Vision Statment of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ):
To be a faithful, growing church,
that demonstrates true community,
deep Christian spirituality
and a passion for justice.
SHARED LEADERSHIP
Central Christian Church and the Disciples denomination firmly believe in the shared ministry of all God's people. We carry that conviction into our worship where leadership is shared among the pastor, musicians, elders and deacons (lay persons elected by the congregation to serve at the Lord's table and provide spiritual leadership to the church), and department chair persons.
Monthly General Board meetings are open to all members or friends. We also hold at least one congregational meeting a year for the election of officers and passage of the budget. Other congregational meetings are called as needed.
