General Information
Philosophy
Our purpose at Lord of Life Lutheran Preschool and Kids' Day Out is to provide a safe, loving, stimulating, and nurturing Christian atmosphere so that the children may grow emotionally, intellectually, and physically at their own rate as they learn and play.

Staff
All teachers have a degree in Education or a related field and experience with preschool-age children. We have taken care to hire only the best teachers we can find so that your child has the best possible experience in our school.
Preschool
Curriculum
The children will learn, in a fun way, aspects of math, science and language, do creative activities in art and music, have a daily story time, celebrate birthdays and have seasonal parties. We will stress Jesus daily through prayers and references to His good works, weekly through Bible stories and monthly through Chapel Time. Show and tell will be a weekly event. We will exercise outdoors in good weather and indoors otherwise.
Age Requirements
Children must be three by August 1 to attend the three year old classes and four by August 1 to attend the Prekindergarten class. Enrollment into the Junior Kindergarten is by discretion of the Director. We will not make any exceptions to our age requirement policy. Children must be potty trained to be in a Preschool class.

Three year old classes:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Tuesday, Thursday - 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Pre-Kindergarten Classes:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Tuesday,Thursday - 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m.
Junior Kindergarten Class:
Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
3's & 4's Afternoon Class:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 12:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Extended Day:
The extended day is optional and costs $4.50 each hour you stay. Children bring lunch from home. The schedule is as follows:
All a.m. classes - Monday - until 3 p.m.
Pre-K - M, W, F class - Wednesday until 3 p.m.
Jr. Kindergarten class - Wednesday - until 3 p.m.
Pre-K - T Th class - Thursday - until 3 p.m.
3 year old T Th class - Thursday - until 3 p.m.
3 year old M W F class - Friday - until 3 p.m.
Registration Fee:$75 - non-refundable
May tuition - also due at time of registration. Refundable before August 1.

Discipline
We believe in treating each other with Christian respect. We expect the children to behave in like manner. We expect them to be courteous with their hands, feet and mouth. And likewise, you can expect your child to be treated with that same respect. Our school will be a place where the children can feel safe and loved by everyone. We ask children to apologize for inappropriate behavior. A warning of time-out will be given followed by time-out at the next infraction for those who need frequent reminders of how to behave correctly. We will ask parents to work at home with their child to help reinforce proper behavior.

We offer the following optional services throughout the year:
- Individual and class pictures by a professional photographer.
- Scholastic book orders monthly.
- Christian Book Fair.
- Dial 3 screening.
- Vision screening.
- Computer classes.
- Weekly P. E. class.
- Weekly Music class.
Kids' Day Out
Age Requirements:
Must be two and not yet turned three by August 1. We will not make any exceptions to our age requirement policy. The children need not be potty trained.

Activities:
Your child's day will include supervised free play time, indoors and out, stories, music, arts and crafts. Bible stories read periodically, monthly Chapel Times and daily prayers make us distinctively Christian. A mid-morning snack is provided daily. A short rest period before lunch is used for bathroom use and diaper changing. Children bring their lunch to school. Each child will also have their own "special day" to celebrate with their friends.
