The Church of the Nazarene is in Mackay to launch a crusade for lost souls. Our supreme task is soul winning. We preach “forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith” (Acts 26:18). We place special emphasis upon the scriptural doctrine of heart holiness as taught by John Wesley. We believe that no one can live in any degree of sin and get by with God, for “without holiness no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). We believe that experiential holiness of heart is not optional but an absolute necessity.

The Church of the Nazarene is in Mackay as a co‑operative denomination and not a competitive one. We take our place as a soul-winning agency in the great programme of world evangelism, stressing the efficiency of the blood shed on Calvary for sinners.

We believe that Mackay with its thousands, who never attend church, needs the Church of the Nazarene. It needs any church that will exalt the Lord Jesus Christ as complete Saviour from ALL sin.

We are committed to plant other churches throughout this great city of Mackay, as a beacon for holiness and revival. We are in Mackay till Jesus comes.

We must keep clean, humble and usable. By God’s grace we mean to be a channel through which the Holy Spirit is revealing Jesus Christ as the Almighty Saviour from all sin to the precious souls who need him.
