JNAC Report

At the Congregational Meeting on September 16, the congregation approved the report prepared by the Joint Needs Assessment Committee and has now moved to the next step in the process of calling a new minister when Dale retires at the end of June 2008.

The report will now go to the Presbytery Pastoral Relations and Oversight Committee on October 2, and from there (pending approval of course) on to the Presbytery meeting on October 27, 2007. Once we have the approval of Presbytery, a vacancy can be declared and a Joint Search Committee will be appointed.

The congregation identified and approved its representatives to this Committee at the September 16th meeting and these individuals (Peter Blackall, Jan Hodge, Harvey Jones, Bryan Kelly, Luis Rico, Audrey Round and Lesley Verdin) will be joined by a lay person and clergy that will be appointed by Presbytery. The first meeting of the Joint Search Committee (JSC) will be called by and chaired by the Presbytery rep.
