Membership Classes Have you ever thought about becoming a member of Mill Woods United Church? Sometimes people assume that because they attend worship and participate in various activities that this makes them members of the Church. However, membership requires some preparation and a formal ceremony. Most of the time, membership is not really an issue as we have many active folks who are not official members. One place where membership is a necessity is in the calling of a minister. Should you want to be a part of the Joint Search Committee or even vote on the decision, you must be on the membership roll of the congregation. Casting a ballot is not reason enough to join the church, but if you have been giving this some thought already, then you might want to consider participating in a membership class and formalizing your relationship to the congregation. This Fall we will be offering a membership class for interested adults during the month of October. They will take place over four Sunday evenings beginning October 14 and concluding on November 4 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Please register by sending your name, address, phone number and email address to the church office millwoods.united@telus.net

Matches of youth and adults is completed and the study begins in January. The program culminates with confirmation in the spring. Youth who are interested in exploring confirmation may contact the church office and speak with Dale concerning any questions you might have. Mentors Needed - Adults in the congregation are invited to consider becoming a 'mentor' to one of the youth for this year's Confirmation program. If this interests you, please contact Dale as soon as possible.
