Church Committees

Church committees are our tool to an inspiring and creative church. We have a variety of different committees that help the church function and remain vibrant and active. It is the caring and commitment of all our volunteers that help to make our church a success.

Christian Development - Mill Woods United Church offers a variety of Christian education programs for all ages.

Congregational Life Committee - plans congregational social events.

Finance Committee - administers all church funds and keeps track of budget items.

Legacy Fund - Mill Woods United Church encourages its people to support the life and work of the church by making Special Gifts.

Memorial Fund - recommends major memorial projects and assists donors who wish to select individual memorial projects.

Ministry & Personnel - cares for and deals with matters that come up in connection with ministers, secretaries, caretakers, and others employed by a congregation.

Mission and Outreach - reaching out to those in need locally and world wide - following the call that God puts out to us to help those in need.

Pastoral Care - working with the minister in reaching out to members of the congregation and beyond.

Property Committee - oversees all aspects of the physical building and outdoor property of the church.

Stewardship - educates and encourages all members of the congregation to use their gifts of time, talent and treasure as faithful stewards in the work of the local congregation, the national church and in service in the world.

Sunday School - is offered for children and youth of all ages during the Sunday morning worship time.

Worship Committee - coordinates all aspects of worship services and the regular administration of the sacraments. Greeters, ushers, readers, action teams, all strive to make Sunday Worship a meaningful experience for those who attend.
