E-OFFERING  - Your Church Offering by Direct Payment

A new and convenient way to make your contributions in support of your Parish Ministry

This is a program for Parishes offered by the Diocese of Fredericton.

E-offering is an automated process which provides another way for you to make contributions to your Parish.

You can use e-offering to automatically withdraw money from your bank account for your Parish. It is as easy as any other automatic withdrawal service you use in your financial affairs. It helps you to make regular contributions.

Some questions you may have about e-offering:

What benefit does e-offering have for my Parish/Church?

• Offerings are more consistent and regular, regardless of snowstorms, attendance etc.
• Parish cash flow improves so that expenses can be dealt with on a more timely basis.

When would my offering be made from my account?

• that is up to you, it can be once per week or once per month

Do I lose control over the amount I'm giving to my Church?

• you can change the amount of the withdrawal at any time
• you can give additional gifts to your parish any time (e-offering, or regular envelopes)

Does this mean I no longer have envelopes?

• No, you will still have envelopes which you can use as a symbol of your gift. Just write on it e-offering
• You can also use your envelopes to make offerings, in response to special appeals, and festivals etc.

Are there any other Parish using e-offering?

• The program was initially piloted in several parishes and is now being offered to all Parishes in the Diocese.

Who looks after e-offering?

• The diocese has made the required banking arrangements and has appointed an administrator. Your parish will appoint a local Co-ordinator. (Donna Craig)

What are the implications of using e-offering?

• Confidentiality will be maintained as you are used to.
• Perhaps e-offering could take you closer to your tithing goal.

How do I sign up?

• Complete the e-offering application form (remember to sign it)
• Attach a "voided" cheque, unsigned to the form.
• Bring it to the Church office, or place it in the offering plate.
