The Parishes of Waterford and St. Marks in The Anglican Diocese of Fredericton

"God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts . . .  so that God's generosity can flow through you (1 Peter 4:10).

Volunteers are vital in keeping a church and it's Ministries alive. It takes a lot of work to keep our Ministries going, but the pay off is always very rewarding. Especially when it means a soul has been one for Christ.

Every area of our Church is in need of volunteers to help things run smoothly, but there are some areas which are needed more then others, because the volunteers we have now have been doing it for some time, and are ready to let someone else take their place.

Volunteer Ministry Opportunities in our Parish - Contact Rev. Tapley

Youth Leaders - Senior Youth Group (2)

Teachers - Sunday School (2)

Musicians - Worship Team (we always welcome new instruments)

Singers - Choir and Worship Team (we welcome new voices)

Alpha - Want to be a part of the Alpha Team? If you've taken the Alpha course, and have been changed or challenged by it, why not volunteer to help facilitate our next course. The more hands means less work. There are four areas to serve:

Alpha small group facilitator (leader): Facilitate discussion during the small group portion of the evening. Be a servant leader and pray for small group members during the course.

Alpha small group helper: Assist small group leader during small group time and throughout the course. Pray for and serve group members.

Music volunteer: Each evening there is a short time of worship following the meal. You could help pick out the songs, play an instrument, or help lead in worship.

Dinner volunteer: Assist in preparing and/or serving and clean-up of

meals during the Alpha course. Or agree to prepare a meal for one of our evenings.

Please prayfully consider the importance of these vital Ministries to our churches, and the effect that they can have on peoples lives. If you feel God nudging you to get involved, or you have a passion or love for any of these areas, please don't wait any longer to contact someone about getting involved.
