First Baptist Church Halifax
Where Faith Comes to Life!

Our Music Vision

The vision for the music programme here at First Baptist Halifax, is to explore the richness of global song, for it involves the loves and the hopes and aspirations of others. It intends to include contributions from other cultures. This is not to deny the richness and the power of our own traditions, for they must be cherised and upheld. We need many cultures to express the reality of Christ, the word made flesh for all peoples. We need to sing, rejoice, and lament with all God's people.

Allen Wayte, Director of Music
