Halifax has several University and Colleges and students come to study here from many parts of the world.

First Baptist has been a spiritual "home away from home" for hundreds of students over the years and welcomes new and returning students each fall.

Because our services follow an ecumenical liturgy, students of different denominational backgrounds have enjoyed their time with us.

Our close proximity to the Dalhousie campus (we are around the corner from Sherriff Hall) makes it convenient for students to walk to our Church.

Lic. John Dalton, a Deacon at First Baptist, has been appointed by the Halifax Region United Baptist Association as the part time Baptist Chaplain for Dalhousie University's Multifaith Centre.
