Dr. Gerri Frager was the guest speaker for our annual St. Luke's Day Service on October 18^th. Dr. Frager lives and works in Halifax as the full-time Medical Director of the Pediatric Palliative Care Service at the IWK Health Centre and as Director of Medical Humanities. She is also an Associate Professor at Dalhousie University. Special music was provided by the Dalhousie Medical Chorale.

During the service the congregation also recited the Stand Up Against Poverty Pledge, part of a world-wide emphasis in support of the Millennium Development Goals adopted by world leaders. Below are pictures of the congregation "taking the pledge."
