In Memory of Anne Stailing

First Baptist Church Halifax extends sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late Anne Stailing. A Memorial Service was held at the Church on Friday, August 1 at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Gahan officiating.

STAILING, Anne - Died peacefully July 29, 2008, at the age of 82, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the loving wife of Robert L. Stailing, Halifax; dear mother to Ingrid de Pauw and mother-in-law to Pierre Sauve, Kingston, and loving grandmother to Sarah, Vincent, Corrine, Zacharie and Sebastien. She also leaves behind Barbara, Bruce (Valeria) and John, all of Halifax; Elizabeth (Denis), Ottawa, and their children, Robin, Brent, Claire and Adam. Before Anne's illness, she was an active member of First Baptist Church and the Women's Rotary Club, and a volunteer at Pier 21. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing cards, and spending time laughing with family and friends. We are grateful to the QEII palliative care staff, the Annapolis Valley palliative care staff and VON who provided guidance and comfort to Anne during her illness. A special thank you to Glenna Thornhill and all our family and friends for their support of all kinds. As she wished, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, in First Baptist Church, 1300 Oxford St., Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, 1272 Tower Rd., Halifax, NS B3H 2Y9. E-mail condolences to: condolences.snow@ns.aliantzinc.ca
