First Baptist Church Halifax extends sincere sympathy to Grace Gibson and family and to the many friends of the late Susie Kaiser who died on June 12th. A Funeral Service took place at Mulgrave Park United Baptist Church on Monday, June 16 at 2 p.m.
Susie Eileen (Latham) Kaiser - Passed away peacefully, June 12, 2008 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, Halifax NS. Born September 13, 1920 in Seal Harbour, Guysborough County, daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Manthorne) Latham. Survived by daughters Grace (David) Gibson and Eileen Kaiser; sons David (Sandra) Kaiser, and Murray (Heather Ingram) Kaiser, all of Halifax; brothers Calvin (Marion) Latham, Sydney NS, Allen (Marion) Lathem, Kingston NS, and Malcolm (Margaret) Latham, Smooth Rock Falls ON; grandchildren Scott and Steven Kaiser, Katie MacKinnon; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Pauline (Field) Mann. Predeceased by her parents, step-mother Phoebe (Luddington Crooks) Latham, husband Murray Emerson Kaiser, Sr., son Donald, daughter-in-law Ann (Jollimore) Kaiser, brother Merrill Lathem and sister-in-law Doris (Wagner) Lathem. A Service of Thanksgiving for Susie’s Life will be held Monday, June 16, 2008, 2:00 p.m. at Mulgrave Park Baptist Church, 5666 Sebastian St., Halifax, Rev. Brian Keezer and Rev. Dr. J. Daniel Gibson officiating. Reception to follow. Burial Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 1:00 p.m. in Wine Harbour Cemetery, Guysborough County, Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating.
