The Memorial Service for the late Margaret Horton was held at First Baptist Church Halifax on Thursday, October 12 at 2 p.m. We extend our sincere sympathy to her family and friends.
HORTON, Margaret Lillian - Yarmouth and Halifax, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2006, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Darling's Lake, Yarmouth Co., she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Rose) Blauvelt. She was a graduate of the Yarmouth Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse and worked at that hospital for many years both in patient care and teaching. After her move to Halifax she continued her nursing career for several years. Margaret was a member of Beacon United Church, Yarmouth. She leaves to mourn her son, Craig; sister, Barbara Blauvelt; nieces, Mary Gay and Susan Baxter, as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; sister, Ruby (Rev. Ray Salmon). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 12, at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Halifax, Rev. John Boyd officiating. Burial in Yarmouth at a later date.
