Brisco, Creighton Dawson – it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Creighton Brisco. Our beloved husband and father died suddenly at the age of 66 at the QE11 Hospital in Halifax. Born in Winnipeg and raised in Ottawa, he was the son of Howard Creighton and Agnes (Paterson) Brisco. He graduated from Dalhousie University with an honours degree in Geology and a Bachelors degree in Education, and from the Technical University of Nova Scotia with a Masters degree in Urban Planning. Creighton recently retired from the Nova Scotia Provincial Government after 33 years of service, having worked for both the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Intergovernmental Affairs. Creighton retired to pursue his passions for sailing, travelling and skiing. He had an enormous zest for life. He was a loving husband and father who was dedicated to his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and whose lives he touched. Surviving are his loving wife Valerie Jane (Murphy), sons Dawson, Brendan and Trevor and his loving sister Patricia Lametti, Ontario. The visitation will be held at Snow’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street on Monday, March 16th from 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17th, 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church at 1300 Oxford Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
