St. Anne's Christmas Bazaar
Saturday, November 14, 2009
1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

***Designates where donations are needed and would be gratefully accepted.
Delivery at Hall:  Friday evening 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Please note:  No deliveries on Saturday morning (exception deli table)

Telephone the church office (519-471-0800) if you wish to place posters/flyers in the community or if you need food/item labels.

Shut ins delivery:  I am looking for at least 1 person to deliver sandwich/treat plates to some members of parish who are physically unable to attend the bazaar.  This can be done anytime during the day of the bazaar.

Bake Table:  Janet and her helpful daughters will be managing this very popular table.  Customers will be looking for breads, rolls, fruit loaves, pies, tarts, cookies, cakes, fancy squares, etc.  In these days of food allergies, please take the time to briefly list the ingredients in your offerings.   If you need sticky labels, call the Church office for a supply. 

Candy Table:   Verna will be looking for DONATIONS of all kinds of fudge, nuts and bolts, peanut brittle, gingerbread people, peanut clusters, caramel corn, etc.  Left over Halloween candy would be very WELCOME for the children’s popular grab bags.  If you could pre-package and label the ingredients of your candy, it would help greatly.

Christmas Cakes:  Jane, Marg, Janet, and Eleanor will be preparing Almond, Pineapple, and Dark cake.

Christmas Puddings:  Jane, Janet, Cathy have co-coordinated the making of our Traditional and famous Christmas Puddings.

Mincemeat:  Margaret and helpers Stan, Dorothy will be making this delicious Christmas “goodie”.  If you have time to assist in the making or bagging, please call.

Craft Table/Gift Baskets/Silent Auctions:  Eveline and “The Craft Group” have been working throughout the year on various items, BUT THEY STILL NEED AND WELCOME ALL DONATIONS, especially for the Gift Baskets.   Please call Eveline if you need assistance with delivery.
Craft donations accepted Friday evening prior but Gift Basket items preferred by NOVEMBER 1st please

Jewellery Table:  headed by Jean donations of any jewellery.

**Deli Table:   Kim will be in charge of this  table. She would appreciate any EXTRAS  from you such as casseroles, lasagne, macaroni & cheese, home-made salad dressings, croutons, meatballs, jellied salads, etc. (servings of one or more would be appreciated).  Wendy will be preparing meat pies once again.

***Kitchen Staff: Diana and Eleanor will be coordinating the kitchen staff.  Duties will include making tea, coffee, preparing tea plates, dishes.   For the Bazaar to be successful we require a large organized kitchen crew.  Please consider offering your assistance!!!!!

Parking/Traffic Control: Angus and Sidespeople head up this group.

Pies: Eleanor and Barb along with their pie lady friends Marjorie, Dorothy P, Dorothy J, Louise, Kay will be baking up a sweet smelling storm

***PRESERVES:   Jane will welcome the efforts from your canning and preserving marathons, whether it be chilli-sauce, chutney, pickles, jams, jellies, marmalade or something new and just as wonderful. 
Preserves in 125ml or 250ml Mason jars preferred.  Call Jane or Maureen if any empty jars to donate

Purchasing:  Jane helps purchase items for the Christmas Cakes, pudding, mincemeat and pies.  Call if you need help with other food items.   

***Quilter’s Table:  Marjorie. This popular table will be well stocked with quilts and quilted items made by our St. Anne’s Quilters. Donations of handmade aprons, tea cosies, bags, bag holders, placemats, table runners, or any Christmas items appreciated. 

Set Up and Take Down: Ivar would welcome your assistance gentlemen!!!  Set up takes place Thursday evening and take down starts at 4:30 on Saturday November 14th.  Please call Ivar if you can be of assistance

***Tea Room:  Jeanne is looking for waitresses and for donations of cookies and squares.  Please give her a call if you can help in this area.  The Sandwich Convenor, Fran will be looking for some help as well. Please telephone if you can assist with preparation of sandwiches.

Telephone Tree: Helen is to be provided with the list of all kitchen and table etc volunteers involved in Bazaar.  If we are unable to fill positions she may contact you and ask for your involvement.  Please carefully consider her request

Ticket Sales/Door:  Joy and Angela. Welcoming Committee Memember to be present Thursday, Friday evening and Saturday

Cloak Room Attendants:  Sean will be available with one other child to assist Bazaar convenors storing coats etc upstairs in Sunday School rooms.

Attention Kitchen Users: 
For those wishing to use the kitchen to prepare food for the Bazaar, please contact the office to book your time slot.  The kitchen deadline for food preparation is 6 p.m. Friday November 13th.  After this time the kitchen will be unavailable as it has to be disinfected for the following day.

PLEASE NOTE:  PARK at Northview School and ENTER thru side door by cemetery after 12:30

Attn: Health Board Regulation:

1. Hands must be washed before working with food and each time you leave the kitchen.
2.  When working with food in the Kitchen/Hall you cannot be eating or handling money because of cross contamination.   Please refrain from nibbling while on duty to keep things sanitary. Instead put aside a small plate of your favourite goodies for break time.
