St. Anne’s is looking for an enthusiastic Christian to lead and develop our youth program.
Youth Coordinator

In our baptismal promises the parish vows to help nurture the young in their life of faith.  Within this context, the role of the Youth Coordinator is to give energy and direction to this parish-wide ministry. Specifically, to develop, nurture, and supervise a ministry that ensures that youth will also be supported to develop their faith and to become members and leaders of a vibrant faith community and world.

The Position/Compensation
This is a paid staff position for 250 hours work per annum – You would be supervised by the rector, report to the parish council and work alongside the worship team and Sunday school. This position has the unique possibility to grow and change according to the needs of the parish and gifts of the applicant.

Responsibilities include the following:
a) Organize, oversee and participate in youth ministries, and assess, develop and create programs, studies, outings, annual retreats and/or pilgrimages
b) Worship at our Sunday morning worship and coordinate special youth services and/or youth involvement for various occasions with the rector and worship team.
c) Participate in personal (one-one) work with youth and/or youth families
d) Lead, coordinate, develop and work alongside youth/Sunday school volunteers

The Person
1) Someone committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and to the local church as the Body of Christ. called to works of justice and love in the world
2) Someone familiar with and experienced in the Anglican faith.
3)  Someone with an exciting, energetic and igniting personality, able to relate to teens, while remaining in charge of the youth ministry
4)  Someone with the ability to adapt and be flexible, while encouraging our youth to grow in their spiritual knowledge and reach their full God created potential.
