Job description:
The Music Director will ensure worship services are enhanced through the use of music (instrumental and vocal).

Duties and responsibilities:
a)  provide leadership and accompaniment in a ministry of music which is sensitive to the Anglican tradition, goals and practices of the parish and the changes of liturgical seasons each month, including high holidays;

b)  in consultation with the incumbent select appropriate hymns and anthems for the Sunday morning and Holy Day services;

c)  maintain, attend, nurture, recruit for and direct an adult and youth choir, arranging practices as required and be available to accompany various music groups in the church and to support the children’s choir when required;

d)  regularly meet with the Worship Committee with allowance made for prior commitments;

e)  provide music for occasional services which may include mid-week services;

f)   have first right of refusal for all weddings, funerals and ecumenical events held in the church which include an honorarium
