Many resources exist to further study the Bible:
  • Episcopal Lectionary - This site will provide you with the daily bible readings in the New Revised Standard Version(NRSV).
  • Sign up for a free weekly e-mail devotional from Decision magazine. Visit decisionmag.org for details.
  • The Voice - a U.S. based resource for many things including the dailyreadnis, informaiton on the church year, Bible topics, etc.
  • Read the Bible online at http://bible.thelineberrys.com/BIBLE.HTM.

Anglicans are all over the web...here are a few places to visit:
  • Lenten reflections from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Halifax
  • Anglican Communion - official website for the worldwide Anglican Communion
  • Anglicans Online - A truly international resource on many topics from what Anglicans believe to more than 10,000 links.
  • Anglican Church of Canada - Lots of links to Canadian information from Anglicans Online.
  • Diocese of Huron - Diocesan web site with information on Diocesan happenings, Huron Church News, Huron Hunger Fund, Three Cantors, etc.

Educate yourself.....

  • The Renison Institute of Ministry offers a variety of lay oriented courses.  You can join for a day or a series.  Most courses are held on Saturdays from 9:30 to 3:00 p.m.  You may also choose to complete a Certificate in Christian Studies.  For more information contact Marilyn Malton, Director at 519-884-4404, ext. 28628 or visit the web site.
  • Huron College has a number of educational options to consider, including a Lay Certificate in Theology.  You may take courses for credit or audit (no credit given for completion.) 
  • Got that long distance feeling?  St. Francis Xavier University offers a Certificate in Spirituality with five 10-week courses offered thorugh distance education (CD -based).  Call 1-877-867-5662 or visit their web site for more information.

Sites for today's plugged in culture:
  • Pilot project for Anglican Young People - Join in a chat with the Primate and other other youth across Canada.
  • Bible Gateway is a great resource for anyone who wants to know anything about the Bible. It includes many english translations and many texts from other languages as well.
  • The Cross Movement is a Christian Rap group that is souled out about the good news of Jesus. Check out their version of the Gospel, in terms you can understand.
  • Passageway.org has lots of online resources with regularly updated articles on spiritual growth and today's culture. Answers to hundreds of questions submitted by site visitors.
  • Busted Halo is a great site created by the Paulist Youth Ministries in New York. Consider the Trivia Inferno game.
  • Huron Church Camp has lots of activites for youth of all ages. Visit their site to see camp details and how you can contribute by volunteering or providing supplies or assistance.
  • A new generation site for young Anglicans to share views about youth initiatives.  discuss current evetns or read the Primate's weekly blog.
