“Thought for the Day”
“ The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly without fear for newer and richer experiences. Eleanor Roosevelt.”
A big thank you to Sally for chairing ACW meeting during my absence in March and following through with reports, etc.
Fund raising ideas It is not too late to put forth suggestions. There is still talk of a yard sale, perhaps in October. Diana is very keen. Please talk with her if you are interested in being of assistance. A car wash was suggested by our young ladies of the ACW. Miranda will get back to us with her suggestions.
Bazaar Update - Nov. 15 2008
Craft Table:
Donations of various craft items are greatly appreciated. They can be left at the back of the church.
Gift Baskets:
Donations of new items to be used in the baskets as well as any attractive baskets you might have lying around would be appreciated.
Preserves:
Remember to put away a jar or two when making your spring preserves.
Attic Treasures:
Put away Attic Treasure items instead of putting them in a garage sale. Attic Treasures does not accept furniture or computer equipment.
A reminder to all conveners to start booking the kitchen through Susan in the office
519-471-0800. The summer months are a great time to use the kitchen facilities.
Help
We are looking for someone with advertising experience/knowledge to help us with the Bazaar advertising this year.
We are also looking for donations to help offset the rental of signage for the Bazaar. Please see Michele or Eveline
Take Me Out to the Ball Game
The ACW have tickets to the Majors season at Labatt Memorial Park. Prices are $6 (adult) and $4 (students & seniors). This is a fundraiser for the ACW and a great opportunity to get together. Tickets are available from Jamie.
