Fall is upon us meaning St. Anne’s is gearing up for the Christmas bazaar.  There is much planning going on with regard to the bazaar and much to do to ensure another successful bazaar.  You may get a call asking for help, please help out if you can, it’s most appreciated!

Important Announcements
No one has stepped forward as of yet, therefore the following positions remain open and it is vital that they get filled to ensure the ACW remains an integral part of St. Anne’s ministry:
ACW Co-chair This is my second year as ACW president, and third year sitting on the ACW  board.  I will carry on as president for the 2009-2010 year, but it is imperative  that we have a co-chair by the end of this year as I am unable to serve as president for a third term.

Treasurer This is Sally’s last year as treasurer.  This position does not take a lot of time, but is vital to the ACW.

Secretary This is Jean’s last year.  This position is also vital to ensure that accurate records of ACW activities and meetings are kept.

Bazaar Convenors It’s not too late!  We could still use some help with the bazaar, any help is always most appreciated.

There are many groups that count on the support and outreach that St. Anne’s ACW provides.

I don’t believe in “high pressure” for anything, but if these three positions do not get filled, the ACW will cease to exist at St. Anne’s.  If you are interested in any of these positions or are able to help in any way, please feel free to approach me or any other member of the ACW.

A.C.W  Who Are We?
Anglican Church Women are women in the Anglican Church who form various groups within the church in order to provide a wide variety of services for the church and community as well as to raise funds for the church and various organizations and charities.  Any woman in the church is free to come to A.C.W. meetings to contribute thoughts and ideas; you do not need to belong to any committees at the church to attend a meeting.  You are never under any obligation to undertake any responsibilities with regard to the A.C.W.  Coming to A.C.W. meetings is a great way to find out more about what’s going on in your church, so please come on out to a meeting and find out more about what we do!

Bazaar
The St. Anne’s bazaar will be held on November 14, 2009.

Woman of the Year
Nominations for ACW woman of the year will be received over the next several Sundays with the winner being announced on December 6, 2009 at the ACW pot luck luncheon.  The nomination box will be available between services at 9:30 every Sunday as well as after the 10:00 service during tea time.  Both women and men are welcome to vote so get your votes in!
