Our first order of business at the meeting was to announce St. Anne's Woman of the Year. We are delighted to honour Barb K. who has been a very active member of St. Anne's Chancel Guild, Hostess Group, Daily Bread liaison, a pie lady, a Western Fair volunteer and dedicated member to St. Anne's. I hope you will take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate Barb's award. Congratulations Barb!
At the luncheon we took up an offering of $300 and we are pleased to donate $100 each to The Salvation Army, the Daily Bread Food Bank, and Mission Services. Thank you to everyone for their generous donations!
After our lunch we got down to the business reviewing the work that the ACW has done over the past year. We discussed what to participate in for the next year and then set a budget to meet our goals. Elections were held and your 2012 ACW executive will be:

Collection of items for St. Monica's House and Huron Church Camp – There will be boxes for both of these in the parish vestibule from Jan. to mid April.

Feb. 21. Tues. Bake Sale in Library – during Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Mar 2. Fri. World Day of Prayer – Trinity Anglican Church – Lambeth
I look forward to my year as co-president with Jane as I know she has the wisdom and experience of leading this great group of women. I hope that all women young and old understand that as members of St. Anne's you are automatically a member of our ACW. Please be sure to come out to our events, get in touch if you have a question and be sure to share with us your talent. The ACW events are our showcase of the women of St. Anne's which you are a part of.
