 St. Anne's Youth - St.A.Y.
Our StAY Youth Group continues to go strong and be busy!!

We had a fabulous kick off to our year at Lorayne and Gavin R.'s home…thank you again Lorayne & Gavin for your kind hospitality!!

November 6th: Regular Youth Gathering from 6:00 – 8:00 pm
November 18th: Youth are welcome to participate in Bethlehem Walk - an amazing outdoor interactive nativity tour. We leave St. Anne’s at 6:00 p.m. Friday and arrive at Crossroads Alliance church on Oxford Rd. 119 between Thamesford and Ingersoll (Dickens Corner) for 6:45 p.m. tour start time. Dress warmly! Bring brown bag dinner for the road if you like. Hot chocolate and snacks provided after the tour.
November 20th: Movie Night in the Church open to all Youth Groups.
Bring your friends – Pizza & Pop will be served after in the Parish Hall!

Come and see Soul Surfer – 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm
This is the true and inspirational story of Bethany Hamilton and how she finds peace with God following a shark attack.
November 20th: Christ the King Sunday – StAY will be participating and assisting in this Intergenerational church service with full Praise Band.
November 25th: Crash the Cathedral!!
December 4th: Regular Youth Gathering; 6:00 – 8:00// Parish Hall
Between Christmas and New Year’s – we will plan to gather with Fanshawe and other college and university international students.

Please join us!  For youth interested from other parishes please contact us if you plan to attend so we can be prepared to welcome you.  Any adults wishing to volunteer their time in supervision of meetings or events may also contact the church office.


Sites for today's plugged in culture:
  • Biblekids.ca has lots of great resources for younger children, from art to stories
  • Pilot project for Anglican Young People - Join in a chat with the Primate and other other youth across Canada.
  • Bible Gateway is a great resource for anyone who wants to know anything about the Bible. It includes many english translations and many texts from other languages as well.
  • The Cross Movement is a Christian Rap group that is souled out about the good news of Jesus. Check out their version of the Gospel, in terms you can understand.
  • Passageway.org has lots of online resources with regularly updated articles on spiritual growth and today's culture. Answers to hundreds of questions submitted by site visitors.
  • Busted Halo is a great site created by the Paulist Youth Ministries in New York. Consider the Trivia Inferno game.
  • Huron Church Camp has lots of activites for youth of all ages. Visit their site to see camp details and how you can contribute by volunteering or providing supplies or assistance.
  • A new generation site for young Anglicans to share views about youth initiatives.   Discuss current events or read the Primate's weekly blog. New and improved site is easier to navigate, REALLY easy to make comments on, is full of ready-to-use resources or access to resources to download, print, hear, etc.
