Construction of Trinity Church began in October 1947. By February 1948 the building was complete and the first service was held on February 8th.
On the evening of April 15th, 1948 was the "Dedication of the Church" by the Rt. Rev. W. L. Wright, Bishop of Algoma. The sermon was preached by Rev. C. H. Best, Superintendent of Home Missions of the United Church of Canada. Rev. O. G. Barrow was inducted as the first Rector of the Church.
