OUR YOUTH
....our future and our present.....
At St. Luke's we pride ourselves on the encouragement, empowerment and cultivation of our youth. We strive to develop programs and events that encourage young people to take an active role in our community.
At present the youth group is not as active as it has potential to be so if you have an interest in this area of ministry get in touch with the council or email me Mike Doan, mikeydee@hotmail.com.
We also have an active youth mentoring confirmation program for those between grades 4 to 6, to teach our youth about the Christian and Lutheran identity. There is pacticular attention paid to the Bible, the creeds of the church, our worship and sacramental practices. This program is unique in that it pairs a youth with an adult of the church to teach and to mentor in the different areas of the Christian and Lutheran identity.
