Jeff is Northern Ontario born and bred, so Thunder Bay is a great natural home for him! He has been on staff here at Evangel since September of 2007 and serves in a unique capacity. He actually splits his time between the Church and Teen Challenge of Thunder Bay, where he serves as the Program Director. In his work with the Church, his primary focus is upon our Young Adults group, called "The Village," and the development of effective ministry to the students of Lakehead University, which is located directly behind Evangel.
Jeff grew up in Espanola, Ontario and started out as an environmental inspector after training at Blank College in Sudbury. Several years into that, and after getting married to his wife, Kristina, and having three kids, Jeff took his family to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where he commenced studies at Central Pentecostal College (now called Horizon College & Seminary) in order to be trained as a pastor.
Jeff brings a wealth of experience to his position, having served as a pastor in churches in Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia. He also brings a passion for relevant ministry that engages the culture. He tries to stay up-to-date on the emerging church. And he loves guns, knives and anything else that can kill some supper!
