First Baptist - Charlottetown, PE
"Reaching Out To You"

First Baptist Church was organized in August 1836 by Rev. George MacDonald and 9 Charter Members. It's growth in the sucedding years required several building programs.

In 1905 First Baptist hosted the first session of the newly formed Maritime United Baptist Convention. The present church facility located at 235 Prince Street was dedicated on May 17th, 1959.

Strategically located in Charlottetown, the birthplace of our nation, our church is dedicated to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the needs of all persons and to nourish them to spiritual maturity.

For the sharing of the gospel at home and abroad, this church is a member of the Prince Edward Island Baptist Association, the Baptist Convention of the Atlantic Provinces, and is affilliated nationally with the Canadian Baptist Ministries and internationally with the Baptist World Alliance.
