DUTIES:  Commissioned Federal Law Enforcement Officer (#1569).  I enforce regulations as set forth in 16 USC, 18 USC and 36 CFR in an area of exclusive federal jurisdiction.  This area includes over 70 miles of trails, 31 miles of river, and roadways. Enforcement activities include boundary and road patrol, boating and fishing regulations, wildlife and plant poaching, marijuana and drug interdiction, traffic and crowd control.  I also work a revolving six week rotation of the Great Onyx Job Corps Center providing law enforcement and community policing.  I am a Field Training Ranger (FTR) in the recently implemented Field Training and Evaluation Program, evaluating trainees directly out of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as the final evaluation of their initial law enforcement training.
