Scriptures need to be translated from the original languages-Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic – into different languages so that people can read and understand them.
The Bible Society of Kenya translates Scriptures into local languages without doctrinal comments. Kenya has 53 language groups. Twenty five percent (25%) of these have a Bible in their language; 13% have a New Testament and another 13% have a Portion in their own language. Half of the Kenyan population does not have scriptures in a language they understand best and they need it!. On average ten traslation projects in local languages are in progress every year.
Translation work is a partnership between the UBS, Churches, and BSK.
