A new distribution truck for western zone
Bible Society of Kenya is keen to reach all Kenyans with Scriptures. One of the challenges in achieving this task has been inadequate market coverage due to the limitation of BSK’s small distribution pick ups. Those that distribute Bibles in Western Kenya on a retail basis have in the past been forced to wait for long periods before receiving Scriptures. This unfortunate situation has now come to an end after BSK acquired a four ton truck to distribute Scriptures in Western Kenya. This is the second time that BSK has invested in this size of a distribution vehicle after acquiring one for the extensive Central zone in 2004. This proved a wise decision and thus when funds became available the investment was replicated for the Western Zone on 3rd May 2006 when BSK received a truck from Kenya Coach Industries. One the 10th of May 2006, after the morning devotions, the General Secretary lead all the members of staff in a dedication ceremony to have the vehicle ready for its work. BSK expects that now the people of Western Kenya will enjoy better availability of Scriptures in their region. We once again thank the Board for this will definitely improve the distribution work in the Western region. Above all we give all the glory to God for his wonderful provision.
