FCBH programme expands to the Coast Province in partnership with World Vision
BSK held a two day FCBH training and launch in Taru World Vision Area Development Project (ADP) in the month of January 2006. Five (5) Taru ADP Promoters were taken through the process of initial introduction, commitment, follow-ups and reporting system as stipulated in FCBH operation, and were recommended by the local church leaders as able promoters for FCBH work within the Duruma speaking community.
The launch was attended by about 40 church leaders representing various denominations within the area.
The ADP and entire Christian fraternity embraced the FCBH Programme with a lot of enthusiasm, and they anticipated spiritual awakening within the area.
After two months of engaging in the Scriptures listening and discussions, the Programme has become a source the spiritual strength, nurturing the Christian community within the area as well as the staff in the ADP.
By April 2006, thirty one (31) churches and Six (6) learning institutions had started the FCBH programme, and were engaging in the Bible listening and discussion sessions. Some churches have already sent reports of positive impact in the short two months.
Samburu Full Gospel Church reported that they now have two new members as a direct result of the programme. In one of the listening sessions, a backslider turned back to the Lord. They also reported that they now have ladies and young people engaged in evangelism unlike before, when it was left for older men.
The Apostolic Church Chengoni reported that two people got born again after listening to the FCBH audio tapes.
