C.5 STAFFING

People are the most important resource in any organization. Stability in labour relations is therefore a very important factor for an organization to achieve its mission goals. This involves both salaried and volunteer staff, including the Board. We experiences great synergy and respect for one another in the work as each strove to fulfil the expectations of the job descriptions and the Terms of reference.

The following members of staff received professional training, either wholly or partially supported by the Bible Society

iii) Pastor Michael Nthiga

iv) Miss Agnes Alubisia

The following members of staff left the employment of BSK for various reasons:-

a) Mr. John Ngimor - Translator – Pokot Project

b) Mr. Richard Bariu - Translator – Kimiiru Project

The following joined BSK within the year:-

a) Miss Eunice Kanini Mutie - Sales Assistant – Coast Zone

b) Pastor Elias Kinyua Mukindia Translator – Kimiiru Project

c) Mr. Gerald Wachira Mugo - Translator – Kimiiru Project

d) Rev. Samwel Kikwai - Revisor – Kalenjin Project

e) Rev. Daniel Rugut - Revisor – Kalenjin Project

As can be readily noted, BSK appointed more than left the Society. This is a picture of growth. Your Board and I have continued to rejoice as we have received many satisfactory reports in all our meetings and those of the Committees. The reports assured us that we are on the course we set at the beginning of the year, informed by the Strategic Plans. I would like, on your behalf and on behalf of the Board to thank the staff for their exemplary performance. I would like especially to thank the General Secretary for leading and maintaining a very professional staff in all aspects of the Bible work. The Church in Kenya is feeling the effects of a well-managed Bible Society to their advantage, and we can look forward to the Society “taking off” in all aspects of the Bible work. We feel proud of you members of staff, and promise to uphold you in all ways that will lead you to peak performance. May God abundantly bless you as you seek to fulfil; your calling in the Bible Society of Kenya.
