LAKEVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH
Where Christ is Lord, The Bible is Taught, and People are Loved!

Be A Five Star Christian

A healthy church is made up of both strong Christians and strong Christian families. We at Lakeview have been blessed with a strong church family. We invite you to be a part of our families growth.

Read God's Word - the Bible

The Bible instructs us to "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The Bible also says, "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Reading your Bible is vital to the Christian life and should not be neglected. Set a goal for yourself to memorize Scripture and meditate on God's Holy Word. Remember seven days without God's Word makes one weak. Determine to be a stronger Christian by Reading your Bible.

Pray

We believe and know that God is in the business of hearing answering prayer. Unfortunately, many Christians neglect their privelege of prayer each day. We should pray for families, friends, work associates, our pastor, our nation, and most importantly pray for the lost. We should make it a point to pray for guidance in all areas of our life. When we pray, we talk to God.

Attend Church Faithfully

You should make an earnest effort to attend church every service if you are physically able to do so. The strength of the church has a lot to do with the faithfulness of its people. Our church wants you to be in attendance and so does our Lord and Savior. The Lord Jesus Christ deserves your faithfulness.

Give

We should support God's work. The Bible teaches us that we should pay the tithe and give our offerings. Support the ministries of the church with offerings. We cannot outgive God.

Witness to the Lost

Each one of us should be doing our part to see the unsaved come to know Christ as their personal Savior. Christ left us on earth to tell others about the Savior. Be diligent in witnessing to the lost and sharing with them the greatest gift that could ever be given: accepting Christ as their personal Savior. Plan to make weekly visits to the lost in our community.

Determine to be a Five Star Christian

If we all determine to be steadfast and true in these five areas, we can be such an encouragement to our pastor and the church as a whole. May God help each one of us as we plan to become and continue to be Five Star Christians.
