Park Hill Baptist Church
Making, Maturing, Mobilizing Disciples of Jesus Christ

 Pastor Erby and Suzanne Burgess

Bro. Erby grew up in a Christian home in Texarkana, TX.  He accepted Christ at age eight and was called into the ministry at the age of 20.  He received a Bachelor's degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He and his wife, Suzanne, have 2 grown children.  They like to hike, camp, canoe and just enjoy the outdoors.  They also enjoy sports such as basketball, softball, and golf.  At home they like to watch old movies, play cards or dominoes, or just visit with good friends.

As a pastor the best description of what God has called me to be is a shepherd.  A shepherd leads the flock to food, water and rest.  A shepherd comforts and protects.  Our best protection is to trust the Good Shepherd - Jesus Christ.  My desire is to lead Park Hill Baptist Church in portraying the love of Jesus to our world so that many more can know Him as their Shepherd.
