Dan and Teresa

Dan has served as the lead pastor at Community Covenant Church of San Andreas since February 2007.  Dan and Teresa were married in 1974 and have made northern California their home since then with the exception of three years in Chicago, IL and 4 years in Bellingham, WA.  Teresa is the Med. Staff Coordinator at our very own Mark Twain St. Joseph Hospital.   “Teresa and I have always enjoyed the Sierra Foothills,” Dan reflects, as he and Teresa think about what it means to make San Andreas their home.

Dan received his BA from San Jose State University in 1980, with studies at Bethany College in Santa Cruz, and he received his Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary in 1996.  While Teresa and Dan were raising their five children, Dan worked in the forest products industry, manufacturing, landscaping, and the transportation industry- that’s a cool way of saying that Dan was a truck driver for a number of years before taking steps to enter fulltime ministry in the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Some of Dan’s personal interests include learning, reading, home improvement projects and a good movie every now and then and in general simply enjoys the wonderful gift of life.

From time to time, you can find updates on Dan's life and thinking on his blog, More 2nd Thoughts.

Hi, my name is Tim Johnson. I'm in my 17th year as one of the pastors here at San Andreas Community Covenant Church. Most of my ministry experience has been in the area of youth, family life and adult small groups. I believe we are all life-long "learners" when it comes to following Christ. Learners don't have to be perfect but open and teachable to the things of God. I am married to my wife, Kathy. We have three kids: Mike (22), Christy (20), and Daniel (15). We enjoy Calaveras County, the mountains and the coastal areas and we have a talking deer head from Raley's Supermarket in our kitchen. Come on by and meet "Buck!"

Hello, my name is Gerry Quinones. The year was 1969 when as a young mother I began volunteering in the children's ministry here at San Andreas Community Covenant Church. Then in 1982 I had the pleasure of accepting a position on staff as Director of Children's Ministries. What an amazing journey it has been with so many blessings. One blessing is that there are now children of the children I first began with coming to hear and grow in God's Word.

My husband Alex and I have been married 49 years, we have three grown children, two daughters and one son, along with two grandsons ages 13 and 10 years - who, by the way, all live here in San Andreas...that makes for an extra happy "grandma!"

Hello, my name is Danette Bolton and I am the administrative secretary. I have been attending SACCC for 11 years. I was first introduced to this church when particpating in the M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers) program at SACCC, my friend shared with me the great children's program available here and have been participating with my family since that time.

My family is actively involved in several areas of the church. My husband's name is Mark and I have three sons: Chance (15), Macklin (12), and Caleb (9).

Hi there, my name is Neil Hjelmervik. From my early teens, I knew I wanted to either be a preacher or a teacher. God has led me through many years of teaching music and serving in music ministry, and I sense that He isn't through with me yet. My desire is to seek God's will for my service to Him, and it seems that He is making more time available for service through Music Ministry. I am looking forward to this year of expanded opportunities with the staff here at SACCC and I know God has much in store for His church in this community. Please pray for me to use my time effectively in His service through our adult Sanctuary Choir, our Youth Praise Band, in preparation for weekly worship services, and in coordination of all the Music Ministry ensembles.

Hello, my name is Kim Wilson.
