| MEALS THAT MATTER - Wednesday Evenings | You are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings in the Worship Center for dinner at 6:00pm. From 7:00-8:00pm, a variety of adult education classes are offered using videos, small group discussion, and speakers to explore God’s Word, strengthen our relationship with God, and encourage members to reach out to others. You'll find additional information about classes offered on our Midweek page. (MEALS THAT MATTER is on break for the holidays, but resumes on JANUARY 11) |
| SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES | Various neighborhood network, special interest, and affinity groups meet throughout the week providing a setting in which people gather in Christ’s name, care for one another, and heart-to-heart Christian fellowship takes place.
As members of the Body of Christ, the groups reach out and bring people into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ by encouraging loving relationships, developing committed members, focusing on common vision, purpose, and goals, and giving caring service to those in need.
If you are interested in joining a Small Group, please contact the church office for more information. |
| VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES | There is always something to do at Bethlehem and many opportunities weekly to serve God and your church. If you see a match between your talents, abilities and/or desires and any...or ALL of the Volunteer positions listed below, please contact the Church Office. Thank you for your prayerful consideration and for your support of this congregation and our ministries!
USHERS (ALL SERVICES) - Ushers serve their Lord and the body of Christ by assisting people before and during worship; taking care of details so that worshippers can focus on Christ. Ushers arrive 45-60 minutes before the service to assist with any set-ups necessary, greet people and distribute bulletins. During the service they collect offerings, count attendance, direct people, assist those with needs, maintain order and are attentive to any special needs or requests from the Pastor. Additional ushers are needed for all services.
COUNTERS - To count the weekly offerings on Sunday mornings, assisting both the church and the members in the financing of ministry to win souls for Christ.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE - To maintain our buildings in such a way that they are attractive, inviting facilities for our community, guests and members. Maintenance volunteers are asked to be available on an "on-call" basis, or come on a weekly basis for minor repairs - painting, electrical, plumbing, etc. Volunteers place themselves on a list based on their interests and abilities and when a need occurs, they are called. They may of course help or decline based on the particular request and/or availability. |

| CARE MINISTRIES | LOVING CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER - Jesus helps to focus our attention on what is most important in our lives to please God. He gives us two guiding principles: 1) Love God with all your heart! 2) Love your neighbor as yourself! (Matthew 22:37-39) Obviously, Jesus is defining love as an action! Putting God and others first in our lives is not an easy task; but with God's help, it is possible. It's certainly something we at Bethlehem strive for. Through what we call "in-reach" and "out-reach", we strive to put our love... into action. We offer Hospital Visitation, Care Meals, Grief Support and Convelalescent Home Visits.
If you know of anyone that would benefit from the loving care provided by any of these Ministry Groups, please contact the church office. These Ministries have a need for YOUR special gifts! Please consider getting involved with one or more of these groups. Put your love into action and contact us today.
