Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Beginning in March, Bethlehem Lutheran will take yet another important step in ministry by using an outside party to assist us in a Vision Planning process. Our church accepted the offer of the Lutheran High School Association to use Cornerstone Stewardship Ministry of Portland, Oregon, to lead us and the other Association congregations through a similar process at a cost only for materials since Bethlehem is an Association member.
To make this most successful for our congregation, Cornerstone needs the input from all members! Enclosed you will find a Strategic Planning Ministry Questionnaire (SMPQ) which is printed on both sides, one for each adult Bethlehem member in the family (you may duplicate this form if you need more). Please take a few moments to complete this questionnaire and return it this coming Sunday or mail it back to the church office. Thank you!
Then, the results of this questionnaire as well as the March 6th Sunday Worship Survey, the completion of the leadership Natural Church Development Survey, and consultant evaluation of our ministry and demographics, will all be used as the basis for 3 Vision Planning Workshops, each building upon the other, to be held at Bethlehem in the Worship Center. Please make every attempt to attend these informative, interactive, and significant meetings as, together, we seek to find out what God has planned for Bethlehem in the next 3 to 5 years or more! We have tried to make them convenient for you, so please attend as many as you can!

Cornerstone Stewardship Ministry (www.joyfulgiving.net) has successfully served over 190 congregations in the area of planning and fund development during the past twenty years. We believe you will enjoy their special God-given abilities in helping us.
We pray our Heavenly Father, the “Master Planner” of all of life, will continue to demonstrate His will for the mission and ministry for Bethlehem Lutheran, through us, His children.
In Christ,
Pastor John R. Koczman
