A Rose Ceremony

Groom (as he hands his bride a long-stemmed red, white, lavendar or yellow rose):

"_______________, take this rose as a symbol of my love.  It began as a tiny bud and blossomed, just as my love has grown and blossomed for you."

Bride (as she placed the rose into a bud vase filled with water):

"_______________, I accept this rose, a symbol of your love respect for me, and I place it into water, a ritual of nurturing that signifies our new life together."

Groom:  "In remembrance of this day, I will give you a rose each year on our anniversary, as a reaffirmation of my love and the vows that we have spoken here today."

Bride:  "And I will refill this vase with water each year, ready to receive and accept your gift, in reaffirmation of our new life together from this day forward, repeating the vows that we have spoken here today."

Groom:  (as he and his bride join hands around the rose filled vase) "And so this rose will be a symbolic and ritualistic memory of my commitment to you, as I vow to be a faithful husband to you; to comfort you; honor you; respect you; and cherish you all the days of my life."

Bride:  (as they continue to hold the vase together) "And I commit myself to you, to be a faithful wife, to comfort you , honor you, respect yoiu and cherish you all the days of my life."

Ring Ceremony

ISIS Minister:  "Now may I have a symbol of your sincerity that you will keep these vows?"

(The best man gives the bride's ring to the ISIS Minister who then holds it up and says):

"From the beginning of time, the circle represented by a ring has symbolized many kinds of human relationships.  May these rings join you together in your eternal faithfulness and devotion to one another."

(The ISIS Minister hands the bride's ring to the groom and instructs him to place it on her finger).

ISIS Minister (to the groom):  "Do you, _____________________, give this ring to _________________, as a symbol of your eternal and unconditional love for her?"

Groom:  "I do."

ISIS Minister (to the bride):  "Do you __________________, take this ring from ___________________________, as a symbol of his love for you and do will you wear it as an expression of you eternal and unconditional love for him?

Bride:  "I will."

Note:

Repeat the above if the bride also has a ring to give to the groom.

Garden Wedding Vows

"As we stand in this garden among the flowers of creation, I offer you this flower from my heart as my wedding gift to you.  This flower is pure and innocent; beautiful and eternal.  It needs the care and nurishment that only you can give it.  Place this flower within your own heart;  love it; keep it safe; give it light; and may it bloom forever from this day forward as I commit it to you with my eternal and unconditional love for you as my wife/husband."

Wine Ceremony

"As we drink together this cup of wine, so may we continue in a perfect union of love and devotion to each other as we draw contentment, comfort and felicity from the cup of life, and thereby find life's joys doubly gladdening, and its bitterness sweetened by our combined strength, compassion and unconditional love."
