Dear Friends ,
This summer I’m looking forward to spending some travel time with my wife. In July, we’ll be spending a few weeks with her family in Virginia. They live in a rural part of the state, half way between Richmond and Charlottesville. Her mom and dad still raise cattle in their late 70’s. My mother, who lives with us, will be spending the two weeks at a fabulous resort called the Village Health Care Center on Acacia and Kirby here in Hemet. This will be her first overnight stay away from family in a long time. Please pray for her that she adjusts and has a good time.
In August, we’re planning to spend a week with our daughter in San Jose and then I’ll attend a two day conference in Minneapolis sponsored by a new ministry in our denomination called the Fellowship of Presbyterians. Lots of changes are taking place in our denomination this summer that may affect us and I hope to inform you better when I get back.
Remember to come to worship each Sunday that you’re home this summer and when you’re traveling visit someone else’s worship. I always like to get the bulletin from wherever you visit. I’ll be in and out on Sundays, but Mary Ellen and Ron will have some great music prepared for us. Our guest speakers will be even better than I am. Remember that the Holy Spirit will enrich your life as you honor our Savior in worship. Also, try out the Sunday night small group in the Fellowship Hall at 5:00. You’ll always be welcomed and blessed. Have a fun and worshipful summer.
Yours in Christ,
Larry
