Sermon Schedule

Sunday, June 2:
“The Fruit of the Spirit:
Kindness and Gentleness”

In the month of June we will be meditating on the fruit of the Spirit, listed in Galatians 5:22-25. This week, guided by the life of Jesus as described in Luke 7:36-8:3, we will focus on “kindness” and “gentleness.”

Sunday, June 9
Choir and Confirmation Sunday
The choir will bring the message today in song and word. The Confirmands, who have been in classes since Easter, led by Pastor Tina, will be received in the church. The Sacrament of Holy Baptism will be celebrated.

Sunday, June 16:
“The Fruit of the Spirit:
Goodness and Faithfulness”

Who are the faithful ones? Jesus said it is those who do the will of the Father. The story of the centurion in Luke 7:1-10 opens our eyes to who may be the ones who most exhibit the fruit of goodness and faithfulness. We will also remember our Dads, of course!

Sunday, June 23:
Mwamba Children’s Choir
An inspirational children’s choir from Uganda will be here on this Sunday. They are a special treat and a wonderful way to receive God’s Word to us.
 Invite your friends!

Sunday, June 30:
“The Fruit of the Spirit:
Love, Patience and Self-Control”

One of Jesus’ encounters with a fig tree, as recounted in Luke 13:6-9, gives us an image of God’s patience with us, and the patience we are called to exhibit. This is a great theme for today’s celebration of the first anniversary of Karen’s Garden and our remembrance of Pastor Karen.
