Were Are We Going?
A group of 14 of our members (including many officers) got together the 5th of November to envision the future of the ministry and mission of the church. The following list represents the main characteristics that they would like our church to have.
In the future, the best thing that could happen to our church would be...
· Grow in membership 100%
· Youth musical band 93%
· Active Youth Group 86%
· Money/Stewardship 86%
· More people involved in committees 79%
· Formal Sanctuary 50%
· Communities outreach/spreading the word 50%
· More confidence in community outreach effort 43%
· More children/Sunday School teachers 29%
The main blocks that prevent the congregation from achieving the those realities were identified as being the lack of:
1. Youth minister
2. Money/Stewardship
3. Age group between 30 and 50
Based on the results of our Vision Day, the Session and all the committees of the church will concentrate in making those “dreams” come true as we deal with the blocks that prevent us from achieving them. Those that were present began work on how we can deal with each of the blocks. We do however invite you, as part of the QHPC family to offer your ideas and suggestions by: Using the Yellow Cards in the Sanctuary, calling the church office at 943 3389 or e-mailing planning@quartzhillpc.org. A 10 page summary of the results of the Vision Day is available at no cost.
