BCBC English Ministry

We are the English ministry to the thriving Chinese Church.  Our focus has been second and third generation Chinese who speak English as their primary language.  However, the Lord is bringing a change in focus and look as we are beginning to see non-Chinese visitors, attenders, members, and currently a non-Chinese Pastoral Intern as part of our congregation. 

We welcome people from every tribe, language, nation, and tongue to come out and worship the Lord with us.  We are a church that values the Bible as the authoritative Word of God.  Therefore, the Pastor is expected to preach what the Bible says and not his own agenda.

The purpose of the Berkeley Chinese Baptist Church is fivefold:

1) Worshiping God by glorifying Christ and enjoying him,

2) Sharing the gospel with the lost,

3) Training the saints to better serve,

4) Serving the spiritual and physical needs of the church and the community, and

5) Incorporating others into Christ and seeing them connect to a church.

Our Five Purposes Fulfilled by Worship!

Worship is a Spirit empowered commitment to a life lived honoring God through:

1) an unceasing remembrance of His glory,

2) a willing submission to His Lordship, and

3) a conscious life of spiritual service.
