BCBC'S MISSION

We provide sound Biblical teaching and caring ministries. We strive to advance the Gospel through participation in personal and corporate evangelism programs to those who do not know the true Lord Jesus Christ. We plan and implement programs to encourage Christians in their service, foster Christian leadership and to enhance church growth at BCBC.

BCBC'S VISION

To encourage believers in caring for one another through Christ with honesty yet with gentleness and a loving spirit, and

To reach non-believers of all ages through practical teaching, small groups and friendship evangelism with an emphasis on youth, college/ career-aged, and families, and

To equip missionaries and church workers for the planting of local churches.

Caring - We envision a church body where needs can be met by others in the congregation. For the sharing of needs in a friendly, sensitive environment, small groups are helpful to grow and encourage one another. Caring for the sick, helping the weak and feeding the poor are examples of caring ministry. Our goal is to meet needs which can be possibly met with the resources the Lord has given to us. For needs beyond our resources, the leaders can be informed to work on them.

Reaching - We envision a church body where all non-believers can be reached in an atmosphere without coercion and guilt, but with sharing of the practical truths in Scripture, sharing activities to foster relationships and meeting the needs of youth. Since youth represent the age that the vast majority of believers come to know Christ, the church affirms the value and validity of this ministry. To experience the practical outworking of biblical truths and caring relationships, small groups can provide the means to bring seekers to Christ.

Equipping - We envision a church body where some believers will be trained to lead ministries where other ministries are not available. Our goal is to establish networks of small groups in geographical areas which need outreach to the community. The network can be the start of a local assembly which can tailor their ministries for their specific needs. Our goal is to then pass on this vision to others for reaching out by God's leading and under the power of the Holy Spirit.

Worshipping - At the heart of our life before God is the act of worship. Worship involves a rhythm of revelation and response. God reveals his grace, love and will and we respond in public and private worship. Worship deserves our best planning, gifts and time. This means that we give time to planning, leading and relating worship to the total life of the church.

We pray to the Lord of the Harvest to give us courage, love, energy and wisdom as we seek to be used of God for His Glory.
