Bamesberger Group The Bamesberger group meets the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 7:00 pm. The group is comprised of couples in the 50-60's year age range that have children but also have aging parents. During a typical meeting they fellowship, pray and study the Bible. Currently they are studying Discover the Path to Christian Character. Band of Brothers This group meets on Monday nights from 6-8pm in the St. John’s library. This is a group of men who gather together as brothers in Christ to fellowship and study together. They pray and support one another, and hold each other accountable. They are currently participating in the Wednesday night Apologetics course for the summer, but will resume 'Celebration of Discipline" by Richard Foster, in the fall. Brown/Miskowicz Group This group meets every other Saturday evening at 5:30pm. It is comprised of families that have adolescent and young teenage children. This group really likes to dig deep during their discussion, and group members are not afraid to explore and raise questions and doubts. Currently, the group is studying the miracles of Jesus, and the group is open to new members! Burns Group The Burns group is comprised of older, yet ‘young at heart’ ladies who meet to worship the Lord through song, study and fellowship. This group meets at 1pm, on the first and third Monday of each month at a home in Denver. They are currently studying the book, He Chose Nails, by Max Lucado and are looking for new members! Coffee House Conversations Please check back for updates as this group may resume in the fall. Haywood/Morrow Group This group meets every other week on Friday’s (sometimes Saturdays) from 6:30-9:30pm at homes throughout Denver. The group is comprised of married couples with school age/teenage children. They usually share a meal, study, pray and then eat dessert! Sometimes the group meets with children, sometimes without. This group is currently studying the book of John, and is not ready for new members at this time. Henke Group The Henke group meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 5:30-7:30pm at St. Johns. It is a mixed group of single parents, married couples and lots of kids! A typical meeting involves a shared meal, study and prayer. The kids usually play while the adults gather to study and pray. Sometimes the group meets just as adults, while other times social activities are planned for the whole group to share in. They are currently studying the book, The Essential Guide to the Bible, by Whitney Kuniholm and are open to new members. Higley Group The Higley group meets the first and third Tuesday of every month from 7-9pm. They occasionally switch to Wednesday nights. This group is comprised of men and women ages 50-70+ years, and they are currently studying the book of James. A typical meeting opens with prayer and song, prayer requests are shared, the group then proceeds with their study and then they close in prayer. Following the study they fellowship! This group is not ready for new members at this time. Hilts Group The Hilts group meets every Monday at 7pm at the home of Kristin Hilts. The group is comprised of single, married and dating women, of varied ages. Typical meetings include study, prayer and fellowship, occasionally we mix in social nights as well. The group will begin a study on Esther in the coming weeks and is always open to new members! Kjergaard Group The Kjergaard group is an energetic group that meets every other Sunday at 7pm at various homes in Denver. The group is comprised of young and middle aged married couples, and mixed singles. During the spring they studied the book of Romans and typically would share a meal, fellowship and pray for each other. They also have a lot of laughs! Perea Group This group typically meets every Tuesday at 6:15pm in the library at St. John’s. This group is comprised of young men and women ages 20-30 who gather to study God’s Word and share life together. They also occasionally meet outside the ‘classroom’ for social time! They are currently taking a deeper look at the Sunday sermons by Pastor Michael and are always open to new members. Poppe Group The Poppe group meets at St. John’s every other Sunday at 12:30pm or Saturday evenings at 5:30pm. This group is comprised of married and single parents of children that are school age. During a typical meeting the group will enjoy a meal together, spend time in study and in prayer. They are currently studying the book, A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23, by Phillip Keller and are looking for new members.
Stube/Shofstall Group The Stube/Shofstall group meets every other Friday evening at 6:30pm. They usually share a meal first, and then delve into their study. It is comprised of singles, and a few marrieds that are 40+ years old. They are currently studying the book of John and are open to new members! Weems Group This group meets every other Saturday night at 4:30pm at a home south of Denver. The group is made up of couples with children of school age. They are not ready for new members at this time. Young Adult Study Group This group meets on Sundays in between services in the 4th grade classroom at St. John’s, and is comprised of young adults! Currently they are studying the Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
