Young Adult Ministry @ St. John's

Welcome to our web page; we are pleased you are looking to connect with other 20´s and 30´s. A growing relationship with Jesus is the most important goal of this group. Most people were introduced to Jesus by someone they care about. Connection with others leads to connection with Jesus. Connection with Jesus leads to ministry–Connecting People with Jesus.

What we´re about: We are a group in our 20's and 30's, married and single, professionals and students, who want to make an impact in each other's lives and in our community. We believe that it is through meaningful relationships that love is shared and spread. Come join us at St. John´s and in our community in building quality relationships through Bible study, discussion, service projects, prayer, interest groups, small groups, and exciting events. Our walk with God is enhanced as we love and serve others, and it works best when we have fun doing it!

Feel free to come to any event, and bring a friend!
Contact: Stephen Weems with any questions or if you would like to receive regular email updates about upcoming activities. Contact: stephen.weems@stjohnsdenver.org or call 303.733.3777 ext. 13

Ways to Connect–

Brunch: We love to get together so the first Sunday of each month is time to get away fro brunch together. Carpooling is available as we meet together in the Community Room before heading to a local restaurant.  Join us right after Praise Worship at about 11:45 a.am. Friends are welcome and invited!
Small Groups:
These are weekly studies provided to learn and grow from God´s word. We will use the Bible, Christian literature, and discussions to enhance our understanding of a growing relationship with Jesus. Contact: Kristin Hilts, kristin.hilts@stjohnsdenver.org, or call 303.733.3777 ext. 16. We will also have a Coffeehouse Series (4 to 6 weeks) in the fall during which we provide some great discussion time close to church; friends and colleagues are invited to find out about Jesus and His people in a non-threatening way in which their ideas are welcomed and heard as well.

Running:
Get in shape with friends! All levels of athleticism are welcome. Meet at the Franklin Street entrance on the west side of the church (across from Washington Park) at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. Contact Eric Hahn, e.hahn@yahoo.com, or Kathy Dannen, 720.988.5383.

Add Venture:
Looking to connect with others around enjoyable activities? Please see the Add Venture Groups page here at stjohnsdenver.org. Many of our Young Adults in Ministry lead and participate in these active groups. You will be welcomed!

YOUNG ADULT SUNDAY STUDY
A study of One Month to Live is underway. Join us each Sunday in the 4th Grade classroom just across the hall from the cafeteria. If you had just 30 days to live, how would your focus in life change?  What would you do differently?  How would you spend that precious time?  Come be challenged with us and grow. Gather with us from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday.

New opportunities are beginning for young adults at St. John's. 2008 will be full of great times to connect with others and with God.

COFFEE HOUSE CONVERSATIONS CONTINUE THIS WEDNESDAY

 ALL AGES WELCOME!

Please join us for a discussion of the parables of Jesus.  We will meet at Stella's Coffee House, 1476 South Pearl Street, at 7:00 pm for each Wednesday through May 7.   Come a little early to get some of the best coffee in town.  We reserve a room just for our group, so there's plenty of space for YOU!

YOUNG ADULT SUNDAY STUDY

A study of Fresh Faith is underway. Join us each Sunday in the 4th Grade classroom just across the hall from the cafeteria. Would you like to see God do extraordinary things in response to simple faith? We are studying from Jim Cymbala's book, Fresh Faith: What Happens When Real Faith Ignites God's People. Not a required read; our discussion will follow the main points of the book, but many will enjoy picking this book up to read on their own. Here's an invitation to trust God and experience his power in fresh ways in our lives. Gather with us from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday.
