Junior Youth Camp

Every June, our youngsters ages 7-12 can attend a fun-filled summer camp.  They can make new friends, commit their lives to Jesus Christ, receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, participate in sports events, join the choir, or just sit around talking to friends from across the state of Colorado.  It is truly a memorable time for all!

Summer Camps

Our local church cooperates with the United Pentecostal Church's Colorado District in their summer camps program. The following camps are available each summer:

• Jr. Youth Camp (ages 7-12) ~ July 5-7, 2004
• Youth Camp (ages 12-25, unless married) ~ June 1-4, 2004
• Family Camp (open to all ages) ~ June 23-25, 2004
  

Weekly Prayer

Join our church's "prayer warriors" as we gather for a half hour of concerted and fervent prayer on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM and on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. This prayer time is prior to both weekly services.

Men's Prayer

Because men are called to be priests unto their own families, the men and young men of the church gather quarterly for a time of breakfast and for a time of fervent prayer.  The event usually begins at 8:00 AM. It is essential that the spiritual leaders of the church and the home spend time supporting one another and each other's families in prayer together.

Bible Studies

For those individuals who desire to know how to live a life of faith in Jesus Christ, free Bible studies can be taught by qualified teachers in the privacy of their living room or in the comfort of our church facilities. A variety of Biblically-accurate curriculum formats are available; these include:

• Teens: Life and Times of Jesus Christ (1 Hour)
• Into His Marvelous Light (1 Hour)
• Search for Truth (1 hr/10 weeks)
• Exploring God's Word (1 hr/12 weeks)
• Understanding the Endtimes (2 hours/10 weeks)
• This, We Believe (1.5 hrs/12 weeks)

Women's Bible Studies

This women's discipleship class will meet weekly in the mornings. It is open to any lady interested in learning what the Bible has to say about her Christian living.

Seminars & Workshops

While not regularly scheduled, Family Worship Center occasionally offers seminars and workshops on a variety of topics. These are announced and publicized ahead of time.

Sanctuary Ensemble

Membership in our Sanctuary Ensemble is available to church members in good standing with moderate to excellent vocal abilities. Ages: 13 and up.

Family Counseling

From time to time, every family has need of spiritual or practical assistance. Short term family counseling in a group setting is available as a ministry of our church. By calling the church, an evaluative session can be scheduled with Pastor Cantu. Family needs and future assistance can be determined at that time. As with personal pastoral counseling, a list of local Christian counselings is available upon request.

Pre-Marital Counseling

Most couples allow several months in order to plan for the wedding. How much time is spent planning for the marriage?

It brings no greater joy to Pastor Cantu than to be able to provide pre-marital counseling to couples contemplating "tying the knot." Sessions usually last approximately six weeks. Please call the church for further information.

For those couples wishing Pastor Cantu to perform the wedding ceremony, pre-marital counseling is a prerequisite.

General Counseling

An evaluative session can be scheduled with Pastor Cantu by calling the church office. At that time, an assessment will take place that will help determine future direction for either pastoral or professional counseling. A list of professional, Christian counselors in the local area is also available upon request. Pastor Cantu has a master's degree in Christian Counseling from Liberty University.

Help for the Chemically Dependent

Many men and women have been delivered from addictions to drugs and/or alcohol through the "Spirit of Freedom" Ministries. Call 599-0509 for a free cassette.

Young Married Couples

Join other young married couples for a weekly time of fellowship, fun, and devotion. Call Josh or Andrea at the church office for more details: 719-599-0509.
