Serving the communities of Andover, Bolton, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Hebron, Lebanon, and Marlborough, Connecticut Where ordinary people are doing extraordinary things. Our purpose is to provide information, help and inspiration to Internet explorers. We hope you'll find features that will make you want to bookmark our site as a favorite location. If you're looking for a church home, we'd love to have you become part of our parish family. If you're already an active member of a church, then we ask for your prayers as we try to make the Good News of Jesus Christ known to those who travel through cyberspace. Organized in 1734, we have a long and wonderful history — and yet we’re a modern, active congregation, with all of the worship, programs, and activities you would expect to find in any Episcopal church. We have a flourishing Sunday School, adult Christian education programs, Bible discussion and study, retreats, quiet days, fellowship groups, prayer groups, and a long list of activities that reach out to people in need. Welcome!
Notes from the Office Parish Office Hours: The Parish Office is open 8-11 a.m. Monday-Friday. If no one is in the office please leave a telephone message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. Father Perry’s day off is Friday.
Parish Notes and Upcoming Events Father Perry will be on vacation from Friday, June 26 through Tuesday July 13. Morning Prayer services will be held on the following Sunday mornings: June 26, July 5, July 12, August 9, and August 16. The Rite I version (traditional language) will be used at 8 a.m. and Rite II (contemporary language) at the 10 a.m. service. There will continue to be music at the 10 a.m. worship service, including the singing of two traditional Morning Prayer psalms: the Venite (Psalm 95) and the Jubilate (Psalm 100). During his absence any parish concerns, including emergencies, should be directed to wardens Chuck Eaton (228-3487) & Judi Babin (228-9366) or to our parish secretary, Claire Bracaglia (228-3244). St Peter’s Annual Chicken BBQ will be held on July 25th. Come one come all to this popular event! Tickets will be on sale in the office or directly from Dan & JoAnn Osmond. Helping hands are always welcome for ticket selling, set up, clean up, etc. Money is also very welcome to help defray the cost of purchasing the chicken. If you can help, please see Dan or JoAnn. Wear it Again! Many, many thanks are due to all the parishioners who helped organize and bring to a successful conclusion the Wear It Again Sale last weekend! Alberta and all the parishioners too numerous to mention at this time (also, through fear, without a complete list, of inadvertently leaving someone out) did an outstanding and amazing job! More praise to follow in the summer newsletter. Click on 'Wear It Again pics' in the menu bar above to see some of the volunteers and customers!

A Prayer for the Election of a New Bishop Everliving, creating and renewing God, we pray for your help in our search for a new bishop. Call and guide diligent and discerning members of our Diocese to the tasks of overseeing and implementing the search with skill and open hearts, and of managing the transition to a new bishop with sensitivity and grace. Inspire worthy servants of your church to stand bravely forward for election. Send your Holy Spirit upon the delegates who will vote for our next bishop, that our choice may follow your will. Support our new bishop every step of the way, from beginning to end, and give peace and knowledge of service well done to our retiring bishop, Andrew. Give us all, in this season of change, patience, wisdom, and that gracious hospitality of soul that allows us to hear your voice and see your face in each other, even when we strongly differ. We ask your help in all these ways we see, and in all the ways only you can see, in the name of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. St. Peter's Memorial Garden
Christopher Marks, with his Boy Scout Troop #162 in Columbia, has big plans for the St. Peter's Memorial Garden! For his Eagle Project, he hopes to raise enough funds to build a trellis over the altar, plant four new trees which will befine four memorial areas and mulch the entire area. The troop will be fundraising in Columbia but they also hope that St. Peter's parishioners will want to contribute to the effort which will, in Chris's words, "improve the grounds and make the Memorial Garden look as beautiful as the church". Donations may be placed in the offertory, given directly to Chris, or sent to the office. Please make checks payable to St. Peter's Episcopal church and put 'Memorial Garden' on the memo line.
