'A Soldier's Mother's Creed'
I am the mother of an American Soldier.
I give my complete and unwavering support to my soldier.
As my son serves the people of the United States, so I humbly offer up prayers for his safety and the safety and health of those he serves beside.
I respect his choice to adhere to a strict moral code and a system of values that has preserved our country over two centuries.
I accept that my soldier's first duty is to his country and I understand that this sacrifice he willingly makes is what keeps our nation great.
I will never expect anything but the best from my soldier, for I know he is capable.
I know that a soldier's heart is true and strong, and that my soldier will endure.
I will never abandon my soldier, my son.
I will love him unconditionally.
He will know I am there with him, even when he is alone.
I am disciplined, emotionally and mentally tough, learning to wait for phone calls and letters or emails home.
I, like my soldier, am an expert.
I stand ready to do whatever I can do to let my son, my soldier, know that we are here for him, behind him, we love him, and I will pray for the swift destruction of the enemies of our country.
I am the person who stood guardian of this man who has become my soldier, now our guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am the proud mother of an American Soldier.

In love, we let you go, Child, so that you can be all that you can be.....

YET YOU REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS, FOR.....

A Poem And Welcome To You From Lin
"PRECIOUS STARS"

I am a Blue Star Mother
I know others have Stars of Silver or Gold
Yet we have one thing in common
We have stories to unfold.
Our children have done their service
To their country they were true
Still others are now serving
The beloved Red, White, and Blue.
We need moms that will listen
We need moms that will care
We walk a lonely journey
If there isn't another mom with whom to share.
So we come here to gather
We come here to say,
"We are the moms with Precious Stars
And our friendships grow each day."
Rev. Lin © 2008 Founder, Precious Stars

Welcome to our home across the miles where we share and care. Please visit our chat message board to post and be part of our family! We ask that no one is ever rude to anyone on the message board; that no one hurts another mom in any way. We are sisters by virtue of our children being brothers and sisters in a common bond. Please help to bring support and love to our mama-members as they travel a journey little known by others who do not have military children.
Peace to all who enter here!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH, Lin
Code of Conduct
I - I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
II - I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
III - If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
IV - If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.
V - When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.
VI - I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.
Code of Support
I - I am an American. I know that the men and women in our Armed Forces are prepared to give their lives to defend my country, my way of life and the blessings of liberty throughout the world. I am committed to their perpetual recognition, appreciation and support.
II - As they have sworn to defend me and protect our country, so will I pledge to support them in every way that I can, and to avoid any action that would increase their risk. I will further do my part to ensure that they are never sent into harm’s way without all of the necessary resources to protect them and to fulfill their mission.
III - If they become prisoners of war, are missing in action, are wounded, or lose their lives, I will keep faith with them and their loved ones. I will not rest until we find them, heal them, and return them to their comrades, their loved ones and their nation.
IV - For our military veterans, I pledge unfailing recognition and appreciation for their contributions to our national defense and our welfare. I will not forget my nation’s responsibility to provide for their continued well-being, and meaningful compensation for their sacrifice.
V – I understand that our service men and women do not make national policy, but are sworn to obey their civilian leadership and defend the constitution. I will respect their faithful service to the nation and always give them my unqualified support.
VI - I will never forget that our service men and women are fighting for my freedom and are dedicated to the principles which make our country free. I will share the responsibility for preserving that freedom with those who proudly wear the uniform of the United States of America.
I Give my Son to You
I held him as an infant;
I hugged him as a boy.
And through the years he has become
My greatest pride and joy.
I love him more than I can say,
His life more precious than my own.
But gone are the whims and notions
Of the little boy that I have known.
For the years have passed so quickly
Since the time it all began,
And now he stands before me
With the convictions of a man.
He wants to serve his country
He states aloud with pride,
As I try to sort out the emotions
That I'm feeling deep inside.
A union of the uncertain fear,
Which I cannot control,
And the allegiance that lies deep within
My patriotic soul.
I trust that my years of guidance
Will serve as a strong foundation
As he performs the duties requested
From his beloved nation.
God, please guide him as he travels
To the places our Soldiers have bled,
And walk with him through pathways
where those heroes' feet have tread.
Oh, Sweet Land of Liberty,
Humbly I give you my son,
Praying you'll return him safely home
When his work for you is done.
