Flower Calendar 2012
The flowers in the sanctuary each Sunday morning are always beautiful and made even more so by the spirit of remembrance or celebration in which they’re given. With less than two months until the new year, it’s time to start planning the 2012 flower calendar.
Please think about which Sunday(s) you’d like to honor someone special or celebrate an occasion by giving flowers and see Heather Detrick during coffee hour any Sunday or call the church office at 860-354-8283.

The Bridgewater Food Pantry
Your contributions to the food pantry have been very, very helpful to a number of families. They are grateful, as are we, that we’ve been able to help them through rough patches. Our once plentiful stock is getting low and we’re asking you to remember the pantry when you’re at the grocery store.

The community Food Pantry, located in the Parish House at the Bridgewater Congregational Church, is there for any Bridgewater resident who could use a little help. Your donations of anything on our "Shopping List" can make a big difference to someone (see "Our Greater Mission" tab for the list). You may drop off your donations in the office hallway at the parish house anytime. Questions? Call the church office at 860-354-8283.

We also need monetary donations so that we can provide grocery gift cards to help families buy fresh foods. We can give you a tax receipt for your donation. As always, thank you!

Please see the "Our Greater Mission" page for a list of items the pantry needs. And please watch expiration dates on canned and boxed foods!

Cool News!
Did ya miss it or did ya love it? If it wasn't the first, it had to be the second! Now you can watch the Roots Rock Revue Concerts (I and II) on our website and relive the excitement!

Great News!
The "Good News" is finally online! Huge thanks to Alan Brown for making it happen. You'll find the current issue and back issues through 2009 (just for fun). It's great to look back at ALL we've done! The Newsletter tab over there on your left will lead you to your stroll down Memory Lane!

Something to think about . . .
There's this thing about volunteering. We read the calls for volunteers on this website, in the Sunday bulletin, in the all-church emails, and on posters and sign-up sheets in the Parish House. We all mean to step forward and offer a hand, but then life gets in the way and we forget. By the time we remember, we figure "Well, they've probably gotten enough by now" or "One less volunteer won't make a difference."

Not true! We need and appreciate every single one of you. Your contributions always make a difference. That's why we put out a general call. If we only needed one or two people to do something, we might just make a few phone calls.

So, choose what you'd like to do, and before "life gets in the way," click on the link provided in the request. You'll be making someone's day just by offering!
