The
Women's Circle of Ocean View Presbyterian is very active in mission work
locally, nationally, and internationally. Currently the ladies of the
church are supporting the following organizations and campaigns:
Net Workers: Money
is donated to make mosquito nets that protect against malaria in countries that
need them
Immune Deficiency
Foundation: Supports research activities into the very rare disease
Panhypogammaglobulinemia.
Read Aloud Delaware:
Supports reading programs for childeren
Presbyterian Disaster
Relief: Monies are donated to areas all over the world that need help
because of disaster
Justin Lowe Foundation:
Helps support Justin's Beach House - a vacation home in Bethany Beach (rent
free) for families dealing with cancer
The Way Home: "To free
individuals from the cycle of crime and despair by providing them with holistic
support after prison that generates hope, self-sufficiency, and connections to
the community:
Salvation Army: Helps
people in many ways
Peach Tree:
Delaware's only brain injury day habilitation and care facility . Founded
by a member of our church.
Samaritan Shelter:
A Christian ministry that provides transitional housing and supportive services
to homeless men and women with children.
Presbyterian Women's
Birthday Offering: The current suggested offering is $1.00 for each
year of a members life that is used for missions all over the world. "The
offering is used for new and createive projects that address the needs of women
and children"
Sussex Pregnancy Center:
A not for profit center dedicated to giving complete up-to-date and accurate
information regarding pregnancy, sexual health, and relationships. All
services are free.
Alzheimer's Association: Supports
Alzheimer research and the Safe Return Program
Diakonia, Inc. A
homeless shelter in Ocean City, Maryland for men, women, and children
