Sharing Christ to transform lives

Fall 2008 Offerings

Father Dave's Teachings

Pastor's Study:  Come meet another side of Jesus that we don't always see.  The church today often paints a picture of Jesus as gentle, meek, and nice.  This study, using Mark Galli's book, "Jesus Mean and Wild", will challenge us to look at a different side of Jesus.  A side that might makes us feel a little uncomfortable at times as He shows us His deep love for us and the world.   Throughout this study you gain a deeper understanding of His love and prayfully develop a deeper relationship with Him.

Come and explore this great topic with us.  We will generally cover two chapters a week (listed below.)  Discussion begins at 9:15AM in the Russell Building between services. (The schedule is flexiable and may change when subject interest warrants.)

Sept. 21 ……………. Introduction and Difficult Love

Sept 28 ……………..... A Hopeful Repentence and Holy War

Oct. 5 ……………. Prayer Scandals and It's Not Nice to Be Nice

Oct. 12 …………….. Love That Makes Enemies and Wretched Individualism

Oct 19 ……………… Good Warnings and The Joy of Unfulfilled Desire

Oct 21 ......................... Sobering Power and Mercifully Irrelevant

Oct 28 ......................  Really High-Demand Religion and Gracious Impatience

Nov 2 .....................  Harsh Tutors of Love and The Storm before the Calm

Nov 9 .....................  Forsaken by Grace and Fearsome Love

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Sunday School: A combined Sunday School class for grades K-6 meets in the Sunday School rooms in the Russell Parish Hall at 9:15AM.

We are currently using Lifeway Sunday School Lessons as our curriculum.  In addition to the Sunday School lesson the children do the craft project and then rejoin their parents during the peace so the family may come to the Lord's Supper together.

Come and join our group and build a foundation of Christ in the our children's lives.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
