Saint Demetrios
Daytona Beach, Florida

In 1952, approximately 30 families came together to found the parish a Greek Orthodox Church in Daytona Beach. The first service was offered on October 26, the feast day of Saint Demetrios, who was the patron saint of several members of the congregation; thus, it was decided to dedicate the parish in honor of Saint Demetrios. The construction of the present church was completed in 1975 and consecrated in 1977 by His Eminence Archbishop Iakovos, of blessed memory. In 2008, Fr. Joseph and his family came to our community. Currently, we have close to 300 active families in our parish. We look forward to adding your family to our Saint Demetrios family.
