VOLUNTARY PREKINDERGARTEN Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a legislatively mandated program designed to prepare every four-year-old in Florida for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The VPK program gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include high literacy standards, accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes, and qualified instructors. All eligible four-year-olds are entitled to participate in one of the VPK program options. Safe Haven Christian School Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Fall hours: 9:00 am-12:00 pm Summer hours: 8:30 am-4:30 pm Children in our voluntary pre-kindergarten acquires the skills needed to succeed in kindergarten by learning through play. Our VPK program is “child-centered”; we work around the children’s wants and needs. Themes are often chosen at the children request. We use the Wee Learn Curriculum and supplement it with themes that relate to what is going on in the “real world.” Children learn phonics and math skills by seeing, touching, tasting and feeling as we have a very hands on approach to learning.	Preschool Program Our preschool program introduces children to the social skills, how to become more independent, pre-academics and much more! This program uses the Wee Learn curriculum, which is a biblically based curriculum that infuses faith and academics. Summer Camp Let your child say "Good bye" to summer boredom or the loneliness of being home alone. And say "Wow" to the great fun, activities and good times of Safe Haven Summer Fun Camp. Your child will explore and discover new games, crafts and recreational activities. School's Out Club Open on all professional duty days, hurricane makeup days and most non-religious holidays.

After School Care While you are at work there is no need to wonder about the safety or well being of your child. Safe Haven Christian School is an official bus stop for the Lee County School District schools in the South Zone. We offer also offer care on early dismissal days.
